Tuesday, April 15 - The Lynchburg Fire Fighters Association will host a forum with the candidates for Lynchburg City Council on Tuesday, April 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Aviary in Miller Park. This event will offer candidates the opportunity to answer questions related to the City’s public safety system, specifically the fire department. The event is open to the public.
Wednesday, April 16 - The League of Women Voters of Lynchburg will sponsor a City Council Candidate's Forum on April 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. The forum will be held in City Council chambers, 900 Church Street, and is open to the public. The audience may submit written questions.
Monday, April 21 - Lynchburg Democrats will conduct an unassembled caucus to elect delegates and alternates who will attend the 6th Congressional District Democratic Committee Convention and the Democratic Party's State Convention. Saturday, May 24 - 6th Congressional District Democratic Committee Convention will be held at Rockbridge County High School in Lexington, Virginia. Delegates will cast ballots for the President of the United States, for a Democratic nominee to represent Virginia's 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, and for four delegates and one alternate who will attend the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
